Storage & Usage

The Settings page shows your current usage against your tier limits:

  • Storage Used – Total size of your uploaded images
  • Uploads This Month – Images uploaded in the current billing period
  • Downloads This Month – Dataset downloads in the current billing period

Note

Usage counters reset on the first day of each month. If you're approaching your limits, consider upgrading your plan or waiting for the reset.

Upgrading Your Plan

1

Go to Settings

Click Settings in the sidebar to open your account page.

2

View available plans

In the Subscription section, you'll see your current plan and buttons to view other available tiers.

3

Select a new plan

Click Upgrade on the plan you want. You'll be taken to a secure checkout page.

4

Complete payment

Enter your payment details. Your new limits take effect immediately after successful payment.

Tip

Upgrades are prorated. If you upgrade mid-month, you only pay for the remaining days at the new rate.

Notification Preferences

Control which notifications you receive from Noktura:

  • Download Ready – Get notified when large downloads finish processing

  • Group Invitations – Receive alerts when invited to join a group

  • New Shared Datasets – Know when someone shares a dataset with your groups

Toggle each notification on or off based on your preferences. Changes save automatically.

Deleting Your Account

If you need to delete your Noktura account, you can do so from the Danger Zone section at the bottom of Settings.

Note

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

  • Your datasets and images – every dataset you own (public, group, or private) is hard-deleted along with all its images and metadata. Group members lose access too.
  • Your camera presets, downloads, and notification preferences
  • Groups you own with no other members – deleted along with your account
  • Your group memberships – you're removed from every group you've joined; those groups continue without you

What stays (anonymized)

  • Datasets owned by others – any datasets you could see via a group remain owned by their authors
  • Action records you authored – invitations you sent, edit history, audit logs survive, but with your name replaced by “Unknown” or “Deleted user”

Before you can delete

Account deletion is blocked if you own any group with other members. This is to prevent silently dissolving groups where other people are collaborating. You'll see a list of those groups in the confirmation dialog with a Manage link to each. For each one, either:

  • Transfer ownership to another group member (via the group's settings)
  • Delete the group outright (also from group settings; only do this if you're sure other members no longer need access)

We also recommend downloading any datasets you want to keep before proceeding. Once deletion runs, your data is gone.

After deletion, your email address can be used to create a new account, but none of your previous data will be recoverable.

Billing FAQ

Can I downgrade my plan?

Yes. Go to Settings and select a lower tier. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. If you're over the new tier's limits, you'll need to delete data before the downgrade activates.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. Downgrade to the Free tier whenever you want. Your data remains accessible as long as you stay within Free tier limits.

Where can I see my invoices?

Click Billing History in the Subscription section to view and download past invoices as PDF.
